Buddhism and Technology – Dr. David Kittay | 7-9PM

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

What has been the relationship between Buddhism and tech in the past? What will it be in the future? Is Buddhism itself a technology for becoming a fully enlightened buddha? Is a “fully enlightened buddha” a synonym for the technological Singularity, the realization of carbon/silicon human/machine superintelligence popularized by Google’s Chief Engineer, Ray Kurzweil? What would Buddha say about that device in your pocket? Or in your hand? Or implanted in your brain?
