Phakyab Rinpoche is a renowned Buddhist scholar, healer and meditation master from Kham, Tibet. He was trained in ritual and meditation at Ashi monastery in Eastern Tibet and studied for many years at Sera Mey monastery in South India, receiving the highest degree,Geshe. At age 19, he was recognized by the Dalai Lama as a reincarnation of Phakyab Rinpoche. When he came to the US in 2003, he was diagnosed with tuberculosis of the spine and gangrene, an irreversible bone infection. His remarkable recovery from both of these conditions through meditation has amazed doctors throughout the world and is the subject of his recently published memoir – Meditation Saved My Life.
