Mindfulness is an unbiased awareness of the present moment’s direct experience that enables one to see clearly what causes stress and what causes happiness.
With Mindfulness we see that it’s not about what is happening in the moment, but how we are relating to each moment that determines our sense of peace and wellbeing.
We cultivate mindfulness through meditation practice. In the first session, we’ll practice directed awareness to concentrate and steady the mind. In the second session, we’ll practice open or choice-less awareness. We’ll rest our attention with the changing flow of experience moment by moment without holding on, pushing away or identifying with experience.
Practicing mindfulness meditation enables us to cut through the accumulation of stress and anxiety and develop clarity, resiliency, and peace in our everyday lives.
