Join Nalanda Institute faculty as they lead Monday – Friday lunchtime meditation sessions at Tibet House.

About the Presenter

Rachel Hammerman

Rachel Hammerman teaches insight meditation and is a career coach. A meditation faculty member of the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science, she teaches Loving Kindness practice on Friday afternoons at the Tibet House in NYC. She is certified to teach Mindfulness by the International Mindfulness Teachers Association and by Mark Coleman and Martin Aylward’s Mindfulness Training Institute, where she completed her training. Rachel is grateful to offer the practices and teachings as she’s received them from the leading meditation teachers in the West, including Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzberg, Tara Brach, Joe Loizzo, Bob Thurman and her dharma mentors, Oren Jay Sofer and Mark Coleman. Rachel graduated from the Nalanda Institute’s 2-Year Contemplative Psychotherapy Program and participated in Stanford’s Compassion Cultivation Training. As a coach, Rachel synthesizes insight meditation with 15 years of strategic communications experience to help people set career direction, grow their business and cultivate relationships with ease. She has a BA in Sociology from Tufts University and learned to meditate using the app, Ten Percent Happier: Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics.
