Talk by Jackie Hawken, author of “Mindfulness for a Broken Heart: Self-Compassion for Negative Mind-States”
Join us and author Jackie Hawken from Bristol, UK for an inspiring evening of down-to-earth teaching, reflections and user-friendly meditation practices. Jackie’s book (self-published on Amazon) contains 26 short exercises that appeal to all. Learn that self-compassion and self-acceptance makes sense and how using short Mindfulness exercises throughout the day helps you live better, combat stress, increase your self-esteem and develop healthy self-love.

Jackie Hawken is a Mindfulness teacher, former lawyer and Buddhist whose teacher, Akong Tulku Rinpoche (Founder of Samye Ling) encouraged her to study Mindfulness so that she could “be Mindful all day every day and turn negative to positive” as a way of helping herself and others live happier lives. In the UK, Jackie teaches people from all walks of life and professions, who attend her workshops in order to contribute positively to their personal and professional activities. She also has a private practice as a psychological coach, using her extensive life experience and knowledge.
